Dans la nature: Yosemite

Rollie has been to Yosemite a couple of times with his photography classes, and loves the beauty of this park. He wanted to show me some of his favorite places, so we did an overnight trip to Yosemite at the beginning of this month. In terms of commentary, the words amazing, magnificent, and spectacular just about covers the wonder of the landscape.

Below are some pictures that we (I also used his camera) took. I can't identify which ones he took and which ones I took, but no matter. I learned that with a really, really good camera you almost can't take a bad picture. For me, not taking a bad picture means nothing is blurry. Rollie taught me a bit about how to compose a picture, which helped. I, however, have no plans of taking it up as a hobby.

If you have been to Yosemite, you might recognize some of the familiar sightings. If not, just enjoy the scenery. I did!!

Here we are after our hike to Mirror Lake:
Here is where we stayed at Yosemite Lodge.
Here is where we didn't stay. The Awani, an expensive and beautiful lodge build in the 1920's.
And, FYI, if you ever decide to go to Yosemite, be assured that the public bathrooms have plenty of toilet paper.
We had a great time. Retirement is great.
